Object Description
Japanese cloisonée vase, with missing lid. The vase is a cylinder which widens at the top, and is decorated with a flower, butterfly and leaf-vine pattern against a copper glitter ground. There is a band of flowers with a black ground at the top and bottom of the vase, followed outward by a brown enamel with a fish scale pattern in the cloisons and a small row of red enamel with circular cloisons.
