Commentary
Likely a Japanese imitation of Chinese Ming dyansty cloisonne (F. Schneider, Oct 21, 2010).
Marks
There is a seal enamelled into the bottom of the object. There are also two stickers on the bottom, which read: "18-37," and "3NY/58/BRNK/55/2-22-66." A sticker at the lower portion of one side reads "$500-," and another on an adjacent side reads "2-40."

Multicolored enamels on a black enamel ground on a cast copper base with remnant gilding.
Object Description
Square-sided Chinese-style cloisonné vase, imitating "Famille Noire" enamelled porcelain. The vase has multicolored chrysanthemum flowers and white flower blossoms, with rocks and butterflies, against a black ground. The vase is perfectly rectangular aside from the neck at the top, which is rounded. The interior is coated in olive green enamel.
