There is a seal fused onto the belly, in Chinese. A label is next to the seal, and reads: "72-/22t/GDE/1-26."

Multicolored enamels on a turquoise enamel ground. Hollow cast copper base. Gilded.

Object Description
Chinese cloisonée standing peacock, with a multicolored scroll pattern (red, blue, white and black) against a turquoise ground. The peacock has an opening at the center of it's back, but the lid to the opening is missing. The animal is gilded.
