There is a label on the interior of the lid which reads "475.00/DOB/Ducks." The accompanying base has a label on the bottom which reads "55B."

Multicolored enamels on a turquoise enamel ground. Hollow cast copper base. Gilded. Accompanied by a lacquered wooden base.
Object Description
Chinese cloisonée quail-shaped container, with multicolored (red, blue, white, yellow and dark green) tail feathers, and a turquoise body. The feet are flat underneath the body.
