Dark multicolored enamels on a dark green enamel ground. Hollow cast copper base. Gilded.

Object Description
Chinese cloisonée elephant head shaped object, which is hollowed out on the back of the head region to form a cup. The elephant is decorated in a dark toned enamel scroll pattern against a dark green ground. The ears and tusks are particularly well crafted. The object is decorated with gilding. The cup is executed in a turquoise enamel.
