Object Description
Pair of Meiji period candle stands, with ornate animal-themed decoration. The base of each is encircled with six fu dogs, in relief. Above this are swimming turtles. A dragon, in relief, holding a ball within his claw, is wrapped around the center, and a ring of clouds is etched above. The top of the stand flares out again, and is eight lobed, with a dragon in shallow relief on each lobe.
