One plate has a label reading "6" on the bottom. The other plates have no marks.

Carved lacquered plates with gilt and mother-of-pearl and clay details.
Object Description
Set of five medium-sized round stacking plates, with concentric grooves on their tops. They are finished in red lacquer on the tops and sides, and in a mahogany lacquer on their bottoms, with the central area in a gold and copper flecked over-lacquer. The tops of the plates each have floral, fruit, and leaf decorations in relief, formed of carved wood, clay, and mother-of -pearl, with gold accents. All five have different decoration.
