There is a label on the bottom of the box which reads: "56." A seal in red and signature in gold are on the exterior of one side of the box.

Carved and lacquered wood.

Object Description
Cylindrical pipe/flute with seven holes on top and two on the bottom; with a lacquer finish. The box the pipe is stored in is a rectangular shape, wider at one end like a fan, and finished in a dark mahogany lacquer. The box has a leaf pattern in copper and brass lacquers on the tops and sides. A flower-shaped metal piece attaches the top to the box.
