Commentary
Mid-18th century cloisonne version of a jade cong in Qianlong's collection. Chris Engle, MMcN
Marks
Seal engraved on the bottom which reads: "Ch'ien Lung Nien Chih" (Made in the era of Ch'ien Lung (1736-1796)). Believed to be inaccurate by the appraiser Tomoo Ogita (see 1971 appraisal).

Tall, even, rectangular Chinese cloisonné vase with a round neck, with eight trigram decoration and a dragon design in multicolored enamels. Accompanied by a fitted wooden base.
