Carved stone beads, probably of jade or jadeite, strung on a cotton string. Some may be of coral.

Object Description
A necklace of pre-Columbian era stone beads strung on a cotton string; of Mayan/Mesoamerican origin. The beads are of jade or jadeite, and all but one are in rough, natural forms. The one unusual bead looks cut and polished, and appears to be jade. There are 28 beads.
