Label: "78" on the backside of the plate.

Thrown porcelain plate with brown paint and/or glaze smeared onto the surface of the porcelain, giving it a slightly textured look. The same brown is used to outline and shade the figure in the center of the plate. The white body of the porcelain is used as the figure's skin. The same smearing technique is used to make the figure's garment of dark green. There is a clear crackle overglaze on the top and the bottom of the plate.
