Object Description
Meiji period color woodblock print with an image of a male actor playing Oichi of Mamushi. This violent scene shows an angered actor who is about to strike. The artist has further emphasized the tension by contrasting the actor's busy kimono pattern against the simple serene background of the kabuki stage.
