Two seals in color blocks in the upper right and in the upper left. Kanji signature on the center of the left edge of the left panel. Kanji signature on the lower edge, centered, of the right panel.

Object Description
Edo period color woodblock print. An enraged husband is about to kill his helpless wife. The woman's pulled hair adds to the tension of the scene, while an enclosing darkness forecasts her demise. Oddly, her facial expression seems erotic, almost bemused, as she awaits the impact of her husband’s knife.
