Commentary
6 A.M. from "24 Hours at Shinbashi & Yanagibashi": This series of twenty-four images of courtesans shows typical movements at the various times of day. The licensed brothels in South-central Tokyo would close at dawn and here a prostitute prepares to leave her place of employment.
