Commentary
Old number: "L1780/1" written in pencil on the backing paper.

Marks
There are two chop marks in red ink in the lower right region of the image, and two chop marks in red ink in the lower left region. Chinese text is painted in the left border, two-thirds of the way down from the top (very faint). There are eight Chinese characters printed on a fabric panel which is afixed to the upper right of the back of the painting.

Medium
Paint and ink brushed onto silk, with a grey silk brocade border.

Object Description
Mounted vertical Chinese landscape painting, depicting mountains, trees, a temple (near the top), and three travellers - one in the central plane and two in the lower plane. The trees are touched with white, suggesting snow.
