Three Boats in Mountain Landscape, 1707
Paint and Ink on satin
74 1/4 in. x 40 in. (188.6 cm x 101.6 cm)
This looks like a genuine painting by the Qing dynasty artist Wang Yun. Wang Yun was a very well-known professional artist during the Kangxi era (1662-1722) and was friends with artistic luminaries such as Wang Hui and Yang Jin. There are excellent details in the figures in this autumn landscape scene. This is a very high quality work,
Professor Kathleen Ryor, Carleton College
