Object Description
Statuette of Dhani Buddha Vairocana, an offshoot tantric version of Buddhaism. The eight-armed, crowned figure rides on the back of a crudely cast lion. The Buddha has implements in each hand. Appraisal notes state that it may be a representation of Narasimha, the fifth incarnation of Buddha.
