Cast terracotta clay with dripped t'ang style rust brown and olive green glaze. Oxide glaze with a lead flux on lowfire clay. Molded in sections and then assembled.

Object Description
Cast T'ang style Chinese terracotta Fereghan pony, with rust brown and olive green dripped glazes on the body, and no paint at all on the saddle (the pony may have originally held a rider here). The horse's head is facing to the right, and it's mouth is open. Round objects adorn the ribbons which extend around the horse from the saddle. Burial figure.
