Toshika (Shunkei) NAKANISHI was born in Matsuyama in Ehime prefecture. He started his woodblock print artist career under Noboru OHMIYA in 1957. He was a judge for the prefectural art exhibition of Ehime prefecture from 1972 to 1988. Since then, he has been active in various exhibitions and solo shows all over Japan. 1976: Award received from Ichiyo-ten exhibition. 1979: No.4th Solo show with the endorsement by Ehime News Paper. 1980: "Ehon Fudo Ki ; Ehime ken" co-authored. 1988: Founded Ehime Ichiyo Hanga Association. 1989: "Matsuyama Castle" for the New Years Day card 1990 by the request from Shikoku Postal Office. 1992: He was recommended to be made a member of Japan Artists Federation. 1993: A judge for No.39th Ichiyo-kai Exhibition.
