Hirokage Utagawa was a pupil of the great master Ando Hiroshige and active as a printmaker from about 1855-1865. From 1860 to 1861 he designed the series of '36 views of Fuji from the Eastern Capital (meaning Tokyo)' in cooperation with Kunisada.
