b. March 30, 1886 in Jersey; d. Aug. 26, 1966 London, England. Studied under P. Connard and J. McKeggie (1903-04) and at the L.C.C. Art School (1905-13). Exhibited at the Royal Academy and Paris Salon. Continued to live in Jersey through German occupation; designed the six Jersey occupation stamps and one of the Channel Islands' Liberation Stamps in 1948.
