Takashi studied Japanese-style painting with Kaburagi Kiyokata and at the Tokyo School of Fine Arts, and with Yuki Somei. He exhibited paintings at Teiten. His landscape prints, totaling around 50, were published by Watanabe Shozaburo from 1922-1930s. In his early works he experimented with compositions printed in few colors; his later prints were made in full color.
