b. Aug. 14, 1907 in Czestochowa, Poland. Study: Warschauer Kunstch with T. Pruszkowski. Polish-born, settled in England in 1935, and became a citizen there in 1947. Best known for his large murals, especially "The Coronation of Elizabeth II" in Buckingham Palace. Ware artist from 1940-45. His work includes portraits and book illustration. His style is marked by the use of vigorous, swirling line. He also practiced caricature, and did humorist art for many London magazines, including "The London Spectacle".
