Vincent Suez was born in 1938 in Petaluma, in northern California. He studied at the Claremont Graduate School with Henry Takemoto (M.F.A. 1968) and at California State University in Fullerton with Jerry Rothman (B.A. 1966), where he minored in painting. Suez served as Assistant Professor of Art at California State University in Fullerton, teaching ceramics. The use of classical shapes with formal visual images of Suez's surroundings is typical of the artist's work. He works mainly in white glaze with color painted on the white background.
