Frank Weston Benson

b. March 24, 1862 in Salem, MA; d. 1951. Study: School of the Museum of Fine Art, Boston (1880-83); Boulanger and Lefebvre in Paris. Known for his portraits of women and infants. He received numerous distinctions at different expositions, and was made a member of the National Academy in 1905.
