Commentary
A Noh theater typically has a thrust stage with an entry walkway to one side and a backdrop of a painted pine tree. During a performance, the musicians sit along the back of the stage, the chorus is on one side of the stage, and the actors enter and leave from the opposite side on a long raised runway.
