Upon receiving her Bachelors of Fine Arts degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana in 1976, Colleen Sterritt went on to study at the Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles, graduating in 1979 with a Masters degree. Showcased in many galleries throughout Southern California, Sterritt was featured in various one-person exhibitions throughout the 1980s and 1990s. Her work has also been featured in countless group exhibitions in galleries and museums across the country. The focus of numerous articles, Colleen Sterritt has been featured in various publications throughout the Los Angeles Metropolitan area. In addition, Sterritt has taught at many Southern California colleges, including USC, Claremont Graduate School, Otis College, Pepperdine University, and College of the Canyons.
